Big Little Lies
The female driven TV show is about three mothers who have children in kindergarten. They develop a friendship, one that ends in murder. Staring two major actresses, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. Unfortunately we do not have an air date yet.
Starring and produced by “Sex and the City” star, Sarah Jessica Parker, is the new series called “Divorce”. It is about a woman making her fresh start after divorcing her husband played by Thomas Haden Church. To spice things up some more, her best friend is played by Molly Shannon
The Crown is a dramatic Netflix series which tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II. This historical series should satisfy the “Downton Abbey” fans who love the style and costumes.
This series staring James Franco is an adaptation of Stephen King’s best-selling time travel thriller. It is about a man, a teacher to be exact, who travels back in time in hopes of stoping the assassination of JFK.
“Baskets” is the newest Louie CK production to be released. It stars Zack Galafianakis who is also the co-creator of the show. It revolves around a Paris-trained clown who goes to the States looking for a job but can only get work at a rodeo.
Danny McBride is best known for his part in “Eastbound & Down”. In this new comedy, which takes place in high school, McBride has the opportunity to show a different side to his typical character. The show centers around the vice principals who think they are running the place.
This show is based off of Garth Ennis’ comic book which some have tried to recreate for years now. First Kevin Smith tried working on a movie in the 90s, then Mark Steven Johnson tried creating it into an HBO series in the 00s, but now finally Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have successfully made it happen. The series is about a preacher living in a town in Texas who becomes possessed by something supernatural. He takes off with his ex-girlfriend hit woman and a vampire in search of God who has apparently gone missing.
This Netflix Original is a comedy that revolves around the relationship between a free-spirited, beautiful woman, and a nerdy guy who hasn’t had the best luck in love. It is a great comedy show by Judd Apatow.
This comedy-drama series is produced by the popular J.J. Abrams. It shows the life behind-the-scenes of what it’s like to be on a rock and roll tour. It will be nice to see Owen Wilson on screen again!
Tig Nortaro is a stand up comedian who has suffered some hard times. “One Mississippi” is her semi-autobiographical story about how she’s been dealing with her health issues and the death of her mother.
The Get Down
We still don’t have confirmation about the release date, but we do know that “The Get Down” is about a group of teens from the Bronx who sing and dance. The show takes place in the 70s in New York City when this young and talented group begin shaping the hip-hop and disco scenes.
Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright…must we go on? The cast pretty much speaks for itself in this show about a wild west theme park. The story revolves around the guest and creators of the park and the lengths they go to to keep all their guests happy.
